How Search Engine should work

"What is the problem?" You would ask. And the problem is that all search engines including fancy google are just useless. Every time you will search for something they will give you stupid search results absolutely irrelevant to you and to your search request. Why is it so?

Let's see how eCommerce "works" comparing to real stores.
When you want to open small business in your small town, you just rent some office/store/warehouse, do some preparations and open. Yes, open is enough to start making money. Even in the smallest town thousands or hundreds of people continuously will pass by your store, some of them enter, some buy your products/services. Your success depends on the quality, your quality and professionalism.
Now, if you do the same on Internet it goes absolutely different. Opening the website is like opening the store in the middle of a desert. And if you want to make even smallest money you have also to build the highway, airport, hotels, restaurants etc... You have to build small LasVegas. Only then you might start thinking about making some money.
And why is that? Because when people do search for "photo", they get millions of links from all over the world but no link on the local photo store website, which is just few blocks away from your house. Getting links on even most "international" and big websites like Amazon.com is useless too, Amazon.com doesn't (!) sell all over the world, this company doesn't sell in Israel (!) for example, meaning DOES NOT, at all. So why me, living in Israel, should ever ever get the link on this site anyway? I don't know, but google insist that I will see them all the time I search for camera, book, present for my girlfriend etc.
No good, Google! No good! Actually very bad!

I wonder if anybody out there is thinking about making search engines more friendly for buyers and sellers? Should they think local? Should search engine return websites from my local town first and do not put them in the end of this millions pages list?

It is easy. I am telling you, it is! Add a meta tag "meta-address" in every page of website. Do search engines prioritise websites according to Internet user location (IP, ZIP Code, etc). And that is it!

Why don't they do that for over 20 years already?

Google, I am asking you actually... We respect you for simplicity, not for stupid low level services like calendar, adsence, adwords or webtools. Be simple and make search simple and useful for us, regular people.

Goverments as dinosauruses

Few thoughts about Globalization...

As we all know we live in Global World Era. Everything is globalizing. Information, knowledge, business, finances, trading, even crime. So why we still have local governments? And why we still pay taxes? Isn't it strange that we feed small group of people with so much money for nothing? What is the role local governments play this days besides opposing natural globalization processes?

For those questions I don't have answers, but I think that the whole governmental pyramid is about to collapse. It is too old, too regressive, too slow.

What will come next? Chaos or Global Super Power?

Lowest visitors number ever.

Today I have seen lowest number of visitors to my site... :-(
Have absolutely no idea what controls this number.

Site builder

Ok. That is probably the time to build the site builder... You can say "why?" I can say "because", non of them have my Configurator, my Multilevel Templates Manager and my Constant Site Updater that I have developed myslef (yeah, I like myself). Also my Animated Gif generator is something! Can do those banners virtually from anything.
So, that is the plan for today. Build the Website Builder... or just rest in vine shadow. Meditation kinda

My Web Site

I have released my website for my java games.
JSpaceMaze, DewLines, DewCross, my old games initially written in Delphi now are available in Java. Had some problems porting and adjusting them to IE, but now it is ok. No hangs, no visible bugs.

http://games.beastick.com/

Yeah, that is probably good name for such site...

Waked up late. Whole night was thinking about what will be the next game to add... Have unfinished arcanoid, few other games... few ideas about crosswords... Probably will just pick one...
